Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced a notable increase in downloads, peaking at around 52K in the week before Christmas, up from 24K at the start of Q4. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 1.6M mark throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a positive trend, reaching a high of approximately $605K in the last week of December.
YouTube Music also saw an upward trend in downloads, with a significant jump to 24K in the week leading up to Christmas from an initial 14K. Active users increased steadily, ending the quarter with over 1.1M users. Revenue figures followed a similar pattern, peaking at around $116K in late November.
Rhapsody's Napster showed more modest numbers in comparison. Downloads hovered around the 3K mark for most of the quarter but saw a spike to 4.6K in the third week of December. Weekly active users saw a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter, reaching 114K. Revenue for Napster was around $41K at the beginning of Q4, dipping to about $30K by the end of December.
SoundCloud: Discover New Music downloads ranged between 9K and 12K, with a surge to approximately 12K in the third week of December. The app's weekly active users saw a high of 1.3M in mid-November, with a gradual decline to just under 1.2M by the year's end. Revenue demonstrated a positive trend, with an increase to $24K in late November.
TIDAL Music: HiFi, Ad-free had the lowest download numbers among the top five, with figures ranging from 657 to 1.1K, the latter occurring in the penultimate week of December. Active user numbers remained fairly consistent, hovering around 29K-30K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed some fluctuation but ended the quarter similarly to how it started, at just under $7K.
